Jocelyn Nitta
Class of 2018
This year’s trip is my fourth and final trip with the ROHS Interact Club and I cannot begin to describe what these past four years mean to me. The challenges that have been placed upon these families are extraordinary, yet time and time again they show us that you can overcome any challenge.

Going on these trips has taught me the meaning behind selflessness and teamwork. This trip isn’t about us as an individual but as a unit and by doing so has made this trip more about the community than ourselves. We work rain or shine and it shows just how dedicated these people are to the mission.
I have met and made incredible friendships along the way. It has given me the opportunity to learn new things about myself and others. It truly saddens me to see this all come to an end. Every year I look forward to this trip and I cannot wait to come back and be a group leader. You will not find a more genuine, caring, funny, lovable group of people.
I am so very thankful to be given the chance to come on this trip and have gotten to known these people so well. I know years from now when I look back on high school these trips are going to mean more than just a relief but the moment that I realized that we all have a greater purpose in life.
I just want to thank everyone who has helped make these trips so much to me. I hope that everyone gets the opportunity to go on this trip and can experience first hand how powerful this work is.
