Holly Springs, Mississippi

February 2016

What We Did

After a pair of Christmas-time tornadoes ripped through Holly Springs, over 200 homes were damaged or destroyed.  Just six weeks later, Royal Oak arrived to help prepare sites for reconstruction and to remove dozens of fallen trees. Four sites and 48 students working across the week found us muddy, rained on, dirty, and sunburned. But also welcomed, rewarded, adopted by the friends we met, and moved by their stories.
