Welcome to our website!
Here find all of our assignments, resources, rubrics, and social media connections, as well as links to our Moodle work: The Source. We’ll make great use of technology in a variety of ways, so be prepared to try something different!
What Are We Doing During Closure?
In brief, we’re reading together!
- Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
- The Autobiography of Malcolm X (as told to Alex Haley)
- A book of your choice.
Find more info here or at the Independent Reading link below.
What About the Research Series?
We are officially postponing the deadlines for the series of four researched writings. We will put the same timeline of dates back in place starting from whenever we return to school. In other words, you will lose no time from last class period’s place. That said, we won’t stop you from moving ahead with research, drafting, and ideas. We’re not! In fact, the ELA 11 teachers will be posting our work and models for the process through these next couple of weeks. Feel free to work along with us!
What About Moodle?
Moodle is open. You will find some additional support for our two books there, including SAT practice exercises, forums, and other ideas. You can also upload the independent reading project there, if you wish! In addition, the Research Series Workshops remain open for submissions and feedback on their regular schedule. However, nothing on Moodle is required while we are out of school.
How Can I Get More Help?
All three ELA 11 teachers are working together during the school closure and any of us can answer questions or give ideas. Contact us in the usual ways or join us at one of our Office Hours!
